The IM=X® Yoga Certification
This course teaches the eight standing and six floor sequences that make up the IM=X Yoga program. Formats can complement a 20-30 minute cardio or Xercizer routine; or stand alone as a 60-90 minute workout. IM=X Yoga is a total body workout which stabilizes the spine, increases joint mobility, and refreshes the mind of your clients. IM=X Yoga was designed to offer clients slower and more meditative endurance exercises which improve range of motion, stabilization, and synchronize breath with a progressive series of postures. This 2-Day Course includes:
• Research review on relaxation techniques and breathing
• Research review on how stress reduction impacts diseases such as cancer, heart disease
• Techniques for muscle inhibition, visual imagery, contract-relax techniques
• Distinction between postural muscles and peripheral muscles
Each sequence will be reviewed for its target muscles, verbal cues tactile cues. You will learn how to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced class formats. The instruction manual includes step-by-step photographs and instructions on how to teach each sequence as well as pertinent vocabulary and research. Note: The DVD of the routines must be studied prior to class attendance.

The IM=X® Heart Rate Training Certification
Cardiovascular exercise is essential for improving the fitness and health of your clients. Most pilates workouts do not challenge the cardiovascular system but IM=X Pilates does! This course reviews a series of unique workouts that integrate Indoor Cycling, Jog Boards, Treadmill/Elliptical Trainers, with Plyometric series on the Xercizer (reformer). Regular cardiovascular exercise improves the efficiency of lungs, heart and blood circulation. These IM=X workouts will improve your client's circulation, muscular strength/endurance, posture, and range of motion. This course covers the following topics:
• Principles of Heart Rate Training
• Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE)
• Heart Rate Monitors
• Cardiovascular Equipment and Techniques: Ellipticals and Treadmills
• Cycling techniques such as positioning clients on the bike, increasing intensity through cadence or resistance, monitoring workouts by zone training and more.
• Jog Board Choreography
The formats can be programmed to range in length from 30-90 minutes. To complete the IM=X Heart Rate Training Course, instructors must have a current CPR certification. Course comes with a 54-page instruction manual and provides step-by-step instructions and class formats. Additional reading is required. Note: The DVD of the IM=X Jog Board choreopraphy r must be studied prior to class attendance.
