The IM=X® Bar, Tower and Cycle Programs can be offered separately or in combination in a variety of ways. For example, the Tower Program improves range of motion and stabilization which loosens the body's muscles and joints for the ballet bar moves. The IM=X® Cycle Program provides upper body resistive moves in combination with stabilization to increase the efficiency of the workout; and it is typically followed with Tower sequences to stretch the hips and strengthen the core. These unique IM=X® Programs provide endless options for combination classes which are fun and challenging!

The IM=X® Bar Program includes 12 sequences that provide a total body workout. These sequences are usually taught in combination with Tower sequences to provide a unique variety of exercise routines. Inspired by traditional ballet training, the IM=X Bar starts with grande and demi pliés which are performed in combination with IM=X Ring Stabilization Techniques. The leg sequences progress with tendus, attitudes, leg extensions and arabesques to provide a powerful lower body lengthening and toning experience. Calf raises known in ballet terms as relevés are combined with upper body strengthening. Quick leg lifts or grande battements challenge leg flexibility and raise the heart rate. The secret to a lean and strong body has been known by dancers for years - now IM=X Pilates students can learn these moves and enjoy the benefits.

The IM=X® Tower Program teaches instructors 14 sequences in a 2-Day Intensive. IM=X Pilates Tower can be offered in 30-75 minute workouts or the formats can be combined with the Xercizer (reformer), Floor (mat), Bar and Cycle routines. The IM=X Tower was designed to provide studio owners with an apparatus that is similar in function to a pilates Wall Unit, Ped-a-Pole and Cadillac but as an ALL-IN-ONE-UNIT. As with the Xercizer, the Tower will allow for a stronger workout because of its stability and engineering. (Note: springs, footloops and handles should be replaced annually)

There are sequences for lying, sitting on a physioball or standing. The sequences follow the IM=X philosophy of providing increased resistance and unique variations on traditional pilates choreography. This course does not include lectures but rather focuses on routines. The DVD of the routines and formats must be studied prior to class attendance. Note: Home Study is an option for instructors who are advanced certified and have over one year of experience teaching IM=X Pilates Mat and Xercizer programming.

The IM=X® Cycle Program includes 11 sequences that combine indoor cycling techniques with upper body resistance and stabilization using the IM=X Tower and Ring. This course reviews general cycling principles such as positioning clients on the bike, increasing intensity through cadence or resistance, and monitoring workouts by Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) but the focus is on learning the eleven sequences which is why attendees must have completed the IM=X Heart Rate Training Course or have an Indoor Cycling Certification. Combination workouts which use the Tower Program, Bar Program and Floor (mat) Program are reviewed and practiced.

Regular cardiovascular exercise improves the efficiency of lungs, heart and blood circulation. The IM=X (Integrated Movement Xercize) Cycle Program provides regular participants with efficient circulation, muscular strength/endurance, good posture, and upper body strength/flexibility -- all in one workout system. Rather than a typical ride; this unique workout keeps the participant focused on posture, balance, stabilization and forced exhalation breathing! This program is not for deconditioned clients or persons who have postural deformations or difficulty with balance control. Participants should be proficient at regular indoor cycling prior to taking this exciting program.

The formats can be programmed to range in length from 30-90 minutes. The DVD of the routines and formats must be studied prior to class attendance. Note: Home Study is an option for instructors who are advanced certified and have a current indoor cycling certificate.
