Andreia brings over a decade of experience in the fitness and wellness industry. A certified personal trainer since 2011, she has guided clients of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels toward achieving their individual goals.
In 2013, Andreia became a certified IM=X® Mat Pilates instructor and expanded her expertise with the IM=X® Reformer certification in 2023. She has seen firsthand the transformative results of the IM=X® program—both in her own practice and in the remarkable progress of her clients.
Andreia believes fitness is not just about how you look, but how you feel—energized, empowered, and connected. Her classes are welcoming, motivating, and designed to help every client move with purpose and confidence.

Shayna is thrilled to be part of the IM=X instructor team!
Her fitness journey began during the COVID quarantine, when she discovered her love for mindful, low-impact movement that made her feel strong, centered, and energized. After taking her first IM=X class last year, she was immediately hooked—the program empowered her to build lasting strength, confidence, and balance, all while feeling genuinely good in her body.
Outside the studio, Shayna is an avid traveler who has explored more than 27 countries (and counting!). She’s excited to share her passion for movement and guide you through challenging, uplifting classes that leave you feeling your best.
Maria Valeroso
IM=X Reformer and Mat Pilates Instructor
Maria is a certified IM=X® Pilates instructor, bringing a deep understanding of mindful movement and functional fitness to every class. Her Pilates training allows her to help students build strength, improve posture, and increase flexibility through precise, intentional movement.
With a foundation in yoga, Maria blends mindful alignment and breath work into her Pilates teaching, creating classes that are both challenging and restorative. She discovered yoga in 2007 while working in the banking industry and completed her yoga teacher training in 2012, guiding students toward better health and wellness ever since.
Maria’s classes emphasize controlled movement, body awareness, and functional strength, empowering students to move with confidence both on and off the mat.

STUDIO POLICIES & CODE OF CONDUCT
At IM=X® Pilates and Fitness Union Square, we are committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and safe environment for both our clients and staff members. To uphold this standard and ensure a harmonious experience for everyone, we ask that you please observe the following guidelines:
CODE OF CONDUCT:

- Respect: Uphold a standard of respect, kindness, and consideration towards everyone, customers of the studio and our stuff. Discriminatory language or behavior will not be tolerated within our community.
- Punctuality: We kindly request that existing customers arrive 5 minutes early, while new customers are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes in advance. New clients are require to fill up a History Form. We need this form so we know how we can assist you best.
- Positive Attitude: We cultivate an environment of encouragement and support for both fellow clients and staff members. While we highly value constructive feedback, we kindly request that any negativity or complaints be addressed privately, thereby preserving a positive atmosphere for everyone.
- Conflict Resolution: We ask that you approach conflicts with a calm and respectful demeanor. Should you require assistance, our staff is readily available to mediate and facilitate the resolution process, ensuring a harmonious environment for everyone involved.
SCHEDULING & RESERVATIONS:
- Booking: Classes and appointments can be booked up to 2 hours prior to the start of the class through our online portal or app. In-person bookings are also available during operating hours.
- Cancellation: We have a 12-hour cancellation policy for group classes due to a limited class capacity. Please remove yourself from the class via your MindBody account or reach out to us via phone or email. Without notice there is a $15 late cancellation and no-show fee for unlimited members for group classes. For class-pack holders, the class will be deducted from your account. Should you need to cancel a private/duet session, we ask for 24-hour notice, or the session will be deducted from your account.
- Waitlisting: If a class is fully booked you can join the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified and added to the class on a first-come, first-served basis.
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Equipment Usage: Use Pilates equipment only as instructed by our trained instructors to prevent injuries and ensure a safe workout.
- No food or drinks other than water are allowed in our workspace.
- Sanitation: Please use the provided sanitizing wipes to clean the equipment before and after use. Equipment is also regularly sanitized by our staff.
- Emergency Procedures: In case of an injury or medical emergency, please notify your instructor immediately.
- Medical History: To tailor workouts to your needs, inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations. Consult your healthcare provider before starting a new fitness program.
CLIENT INTAKE & ASSESSMENT
- Health Questionnaire: Before your first session, please fill out our health questionnaire. This information helps our instructors understand your goals, needs and any limitations.
- Initial Consultation: New clients are encouraged to schedule an initial consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and concerns. From there we can advise on how to tailor exercises to your needs/abilities.
- Progress Tracking: Periodically we will review your progress and make recommendations to ensure you are meeting your goals safely.
ATTIRE & EQUIPMENT
- Attire: Wear comfortable workout attire that allows for a full range of movement. Grip socks are required for all classes and are available for purchase at the studio. Due to safety and higene concerns we don’t allow regular socks, hospital socks or bare feet.
- Personal Equipment: The studio provides everything you may need, including mats, rings, handles, foot loops, weights, and other essentials for your convenience. You are welcome to bring your own mat and other personal equipment if preferred.
STUDIO ETIQUETTE
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Phone Usage: We encourage you to capture your hard work in the studio, especially if you plan to tag us later. However, we kindly ask that you respect others’ workout sessions by avoiding any interruptions and seeking permission before recording anyone.
- Noise Level: Please keep conversations and noise levels low to ensure the concentration of others is respected. When entering or exiting classes, please do so quietly to minimize disruptions to ongoing sessions.
- Late Arrivals: Late arrivals will be permitted to join the class up to 5 minutes after its scheduled start time. However, after this 5-minute window, it will be at the discretion of the instructor to determine whether late entry may cause disruptions or pose injury risks. In such cases, participation may be limited. Additionally, after the initial 5 minutes, your spot may be allocated to a standby client.

- Certifications: Our instructors undergo rigorous training before receiving certification to effectively guide you. Additionally, they consistently participate in workshops and courses to stay updated on the latest techniques and industry trends.
- Modifications: Our instructors are dedicated to maximizing the benefits of your membership and workouts. Should you have any inquiries regarding modifying or intensifying movements, please don’t hesitate to ask. We also recommend scheduling private sessions alongside group sessions to optimize your workout experience.
