The IM=X® Pilates Studio has worked with members of the NY Mets and Detroit Lions Teams, as well as, Jojo Starbuck. The success in our program lies in the combination and evolution of traditional Pilates with the Alexander Technique. Exercise programs are developed to improve rotational power by recruiting deeper abdominal muscles and spinal muscles. Working these muscles to not only improve strength but also endurance to give better performance in activities. Kinesthetic /proprioceptive training helps to improve muscle memory. The Program also incorporates AROM exercises to improve joint mobility and overall flexibility. Therefore improving muscle response in stressful situations that can occur with athletes and decreasing injury rate.
An IM=X® Sports Training Program, an athlete will learn muscle activation patterns to strengthen spinal stabilization system beyond ordinary fitness programs not limited to the core but to stabilize the shoulder girdle and pelvic region for greater control.
The flexibility of our studio memberships enables athletes or even “weekend warriors” to receive the benefits of superior training. Semi-private training memberships are cost-effective and provide you with lots of attention since they are held in small groups of up to six participants. The wide variety of class formats address active range of motion, core strength, muscle response, muscle endurance and are guaranteed to make you a stronger player.
