It all starts with the IM=X® Pilates 5-Day Basic Intensive. Two days of Mat work are followed by three days of Xercizer (reformer) program in the first two days of the IM=X® Pilates 5-Day Basic Certification course. You will graduate from this comprehensive program with the skills necessary to launch a career in fitness and pilates. In each session, you will learn eight sequences as well as how to modify them for clients of various fitness levels in both personal training and group exercise situations. You will also become familiar with the supporting research and pedagogical ideas, including techniques for stabilization, breathing, alignment, and muscle recruitment. An IM=X® Master Trainer leads this course, utilizing a mix of lecture presentations, exercises, and useful hands-on learning modules.

The next step in your IM=X® Pilates journey is to expand upon the variety of routines you can offer your clients prior to attending Advanced certifications. The IM=X® Review and Remix Workshop workshop utilizes the exercises from the IM=X® Pilates Basic Intensive, re-choreographing them into new formats that address a broad range of special needs and limitations, as well as specific goals.

You will begin by reviewing the IM=X® Fundamentals, before learning new workout formats including Upper Body, Lower Body, Abs and Hybrid formats. Then you will learn how to format classes for special populations such as pre- and post-natal and back exercise clients.

Next, the IM=X® Tower and Tower Barre Certification teaches instructors 17 new sequences in a 2-Day Intensive. A total-body workout that enhances stabilization, strength, balance, flexibility, and range of motion is provided by the IM=X® Tower course, which starts with the IM=X® Fundamentals and moves through seated, supine, prone, and standing positions. You will be guided by your IM=X® Master Trainer as you master ten sequences that develop into a wide range of forms. The seven exclusive Tower Barre sequences by IM=X® add upper body and core strengthening to grand pliés, relevés, tendus, and other ballet-inspired movements to enable a barre workout using springs, handles, foot loops, and a dowel for a truly distinctive combination of exercises not found anywhere else.

The IM=X® Pilates Advanced Mat and Xercizer programs are taught in a total of five days including two days for the floor and three days for the reformer. Experienced IM=X® trainers will learn new exercises as well as a variety of new formats that target specific workout goals and additional research. The corresponding certification manual provides photos and step-by-step instructions and supporting video files are provided.
